Hey friends and followers!
Everyone at Kool Koala Productions wants to extend a sincere thank you for all of your support over the course of our production. I’m sure you’ve seen our trailers and are eagerly anticipating the final product. We won’t be posting the movie online (right away) as we will be attempting to hit the festival circuit, but don’t worry we will update you with screening dates and locations as they come up!
First on the docket is the official RTA screening day, currently scheduled for April 1st (no joke!). More info TBA.

Introducing, the Detective! The third and final puppet is finally complete. He is the “misinformed” portion of the trio, and has no problem hounding the poor Butler about crimes he did or did not commit. Like the Butler and Old Man his finishing touches will include skin-toned clay to make adjustable eyelids.
Filming is in its last week of production, and we’re hoping to begin all of our colour correction and After Effects work next week! We’ll be posting updates during that time on what we’re doing, problems we encounter, and explanations on masking out puppet rigs and more!

Our producer Sam is a cut above the rest! Here’s just a quick little video of making prop carrots for the kitchen scene. The little details like props and set decoration are always key in helping to create a quality final product.

Introducing, the Old Man!The second puppet is finally complete. He is the “mad” portion of the trio, speaking only in angry grumbles and unintelligible rumbles. Like the Butler his finish touches will include skin-toned clay to make adjustable eyelids. To see the entire process of how he came to be, check out our videos on “Building Character” - and the many more to come!
Next up - the Detective!
